These cabbage rolls are comforting and full of flavour, perfect for a family meal or special occasion! 🌟
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
Pork mince: 500g
Spring onion: cut into thin long slices
Red chilli: 2 pieces
Soy sauce: 3 tbsp
Salt and pepper: To taste
For the Cabbage:
Chinese cabbage: 1 large
Water: For blanching
Oil: 10ml
Cooking Instruction:
1. Prepare the Cabbage:
Peel off 8 leaves. Blanch the leaves in boiling water for 3 minutes until pliable. Drain and set aside. If the thick stem of the leaf is tough, trim it slightly to make rolling easier.
2. Make the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine pork mince, chopped spring onion, garlic, ginger pieces. Add salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
Lay a cabbage leaf flat. Place 1–2 tablespoons of filling near the stem end of the leaf.
Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling, then roll tightly like a burrito. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
4.Steam the Rolls
Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in the plate. Steam on boiling water for 20 minutes.
5.Pour Sauce
Place chopped red chilli and spring onion slices on top of the rolls. Pour soy sauce, and then pour hot oil on the top.
